Letter to the Editor: Cooperate on Freight
enjoyed the opinion column “Growth in Intermodal Unites One-Time Rivals,” regarding the growth in intermodal freight and its impact on traditional modal rivals.
The challenge facing all involved in transportation — ensuring sufficient capacity to move the growing commerce of our country — will require a new focus on collaboration between modes to make sure that we meet the needs of our economy.
It is time for the rail industry, the trucking industry, ocean carriers and ports to work together to meet these needs.
