Kenworth, Peterbilt Introduce Refinements for 2006 Truck Models

OUISVILLE, Ky. — Paccar Inc.’s two truck brands are both seeking to increase market share and profits in 2005, executives of Kenworth Truck Co. and Peterbilt Motors Co. said last week.
At the Mid-America Trucking Show here, Kenworth and Peterbilt each announced innovations for their trucks that executives said would help their planned gains by increasing driver retention and trucks’ serviceability, fuel economy and resale value.
The two brands combined account for 22.5% of the U.S. retail Class 8 market, according to Ward’s communications.
