Indiana DOT Says Higher Speed Limits Could Be Delayed
new Indiana law raising the speed limit for trucks on some interstate and other highways was scheduled to go into effect July 1, but could be delayed, state transportation officials said.
Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels signed the law May 6, raising speed limits for trucks and cars by 5 miles per hour on the Indiana Toll Road, rural stretches of interstate highways and highways with median dividers.
That raises the limit to 65 mph for trucks on the Toll Road and interstates, and to 60 on other divided highways.
