hird-party logistics provider Hub Group said Wednesday it had completed its acquisition of trucking and drayage firm Comtrak Inc. for $38 million.

Hub said the purchase price of the deal, first announced in January, included working capital adjustment of $1.9 million. (Click here for previous coverage.)

Comtrak’s services include rail and drayage for the intermodal sector, truckload transportation, container storage, yard management, truck brokerage and other logistics services, Hub said in a statement.

Comtrak was established in 1983 and is headquartered in Memphis, Tenn. Its 381 employees and 15 terminals are located primarily in the Southeast. Comtrak uses both company truck drivers and third-party owner-operators.

Hub Group is ranked No. 41 on the Transport Topics Logistics 50 listing of North American logistics firms.
