Gasoline Prices Continue Falling, Lundberg Reports
etail gasoline prices across the country fell by an average of 6 cents in the past two weeks, according to the latest Lundberg Survey of gasoline stations released Sunday.
The average price for all three grades fell to $2.27 a gallon in the two weeks ended Friday, said analyst Trilby Lundberg, who publishes the semimonthly survey of 7,000 U.S. filling stations.
Self-serve regular averaged $2.24 a gallon nationwide. Mid-grade cost $2.34 a gallon while the price for premium was $2.44.
The lowest price in for regular unleaded was in Portland, Ore., at $1.99 a gallon, while the most expensive was $2.59, in Honolulu.
