Gasoline’s national average price jumped 33 cents in the past two weeks to an average $3.51 a gallon, according to the latest Lundberg Survey of filling stations released Sunday.

Diesel also spiked, rising 29 cents to $3.88 a gallon, analyst Trilby Lundberg said in her twice-monthly survey of filling stations, which was conducted Friday.

The average price for mid-grade gasoline is $3.64 a gallon, while premium is $3.75, the Associated Press reported, citing Lundberg.

Billings, Mont., had the lowest average price among cities surveyed at $3.15 a gallon, while San Diego was the highest, at $3.87.

Oil has soared $20 in the past three weeks to more than $100 a barrel, and the Department of Energy last week reported jumps of 14.3 cents for diesel and 19.4 cents for gas, to $3.716 and $3.383 per gallon, respectively.
