Gasoline Drops to $2.66 a Gallon, Lundberg Says
asoline prices fell 21 cents in the past two weeks to $2.66 a gallon, according to the latest Lundberg Survey of filling stations released Sunday.
Two weeks ago, Lundberg reported an average price of $2.87 a gallon.
The price drop reflects increased U.S. fuel inventories and the end of the summer driving season, according to Lundberg.
The cheapest gas was in Des Moines, Iowa, where drivers paid an average of $2.32 per gallon. The highest was in Honolulu, Hawaii, at $3.17.
