Within the next couple of weeks, EFS Transportation Services’ cashless fuel payment program will take over the customer base that had been using TransCore Inc.’s third-party fuel card service, Ryan Ramey, EFS senior vice president, told Transport Topics.The Memphis, Tenn.-based subsidiary of Concord EFS Inc. already operates the second-largest cashless payment network for the trucking industry, with an estimated 18% in 2001.Market leader Comdata Corp.’s ComChek fuel card is used by about 65% of cardholders.For the full story, see the March 18 print edition of Transport Topics.
