DOT Inspector General Kenneth Mead Resigns
.S. Department of Transportation Inspector General Kenneth Mead announced his resignation, effective Feb. 11.
In a resignation letter sent Monday to President Bush, Mead expressed his gratitude for having served as in the post since his appointment in May 1997 by President Clinton.
Mead was DOT’s longest-serving IG, the department said in a statement.
eputy Inspector General Todd Zinser will serve as acting IG until a successor is appointed, DOT said.
