The national average price of diesel continued to dive, shedding 6.8 cents to settle at $4.376 a gallon, according to Energy Information Administration data released Feb. 21.

Highlights

• Diesel’s cost has fallen 16.3 cents a gallonÌýthe past two weeks and 24.6 cents since Jan. 30.
• A gallon of diesel now costs 32.1 cents more than at this time in 2022.
• Diesel’s price went down in all 10 regions in EIA’s weekly survey, ranging from a high of 9.3 cents in New England to a low of 3.8 cents in California.
• Gasoline fell by a more modest amount, 1.1 cents on the national average, to reach $3.379 a gallon.
