Deutsche Post Announces Management Realignment

ermany’s Deutsche Post World Net, parent of DHL Americas, announced Friday that its road cargo business will now operate as a subdivision of its logistics business.

The shift will allow the freight subdivision, formerly part of the company’s express division, to take on additional cargo volume that the logistics division has historically hired outside carriers to transport, the company said in a release.

As part of the realignment, Deutsche Post’s express division will now be lead by only one member of the company’s board, rather than two.

DHL Americas is ranked No. 4 on the Transport Topics 100 list of the largest for-hire carriers in the United States and Canada.
