Deputy FMCSA Administrator Hoemann Leaving in May
arren Hoemann, the current deputy administrator — and acting administrator — of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, said Friday he would be leaving the agency in mid-May.
In a letter to Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta, Hoemann said he was resigning, effective May 13.
He has been the agency's deputy administrator since 2003 and acting administrator since the departure of former FMCSA chief Annette Sandberg on April 1. (Click here for previous coverage.)
A replacement for Sandberg or Hoemann has not been named.
