CVG to Supply Seats for Freightliner’s ’07 Production
rucking parts and systems supplier Commercial Vehicle Group said late Monday it will develop seats for Freightliner’s Class 8 truck production beginning with the 2007 model year.
Separately, the company announced it had been awarded the instrument panel production business for the Freightliner's Western Star truck brand.
The new development deal is a joint effort between Freightliner and CVG to meet needs for driver comfort, safety, ergonomics and durability, CVG said in a statement.
The design and development of seats will include CVG's National Seating HP, or high performance, seating system. This program will represent an overall increase in CVG/ National Seating market share within the Freightliner group of companies, CVG said.
