Engine maker Cummins Inc. said it is selling few units of its new heavy-duty model, even though it is the only one the federal government has certified that meets new pollution standards that take effect Oct. 1.Cummins Marketing Manager Thomas Keiffer said last week the company will produce only about 200 of the new engines through September, and the Columbus, Ind.-based company has yet to line up any big commitments for later sales.For the full story, see the June 3 print edition of Transport Topics.
