Conn. Addresses Transportation Problems

| Staff ReporterThe meeting gathered together more than 200 highway users, transportation officials and lawmakers. The goal was to come up with recommendations that the General Assembly could act on when it convenes in 2001.
The summit was called to address concerns that traffic woes and inadequate highway development are hurting businesses that depend on the roads, such as trucking, and threatening driver safety.
