Celtic International Launches Express, LTL Service

ntermodal provider Celtic International said Monday it has launched a new express division to offer expedited services and less-than-truckload shipping in North America.

The new Celtic Xpress division is an agent-based freight service that utilizes small fleets and owner-operators to move truckload, LTL, van, flatbed and specialized shipments, the company said in a statement.

It will will operate out of Celtic International’s headquarters in Orland Park, Ill., said Richard Hyland, Celtic International’s chief executive officer.

Logistics industry veteran John O’Toole will head up the new unit, the company said.
