Killer bees hitching a ride into Canada on trucks?

It is more than a possibility, according to bee experts — and it may happen soon.

Many popular myths about, and images of, these bees have been formed from horror movies and comedy sketches — like John Belushi prancing around the Saturday Night Live stage in an overstuffed black and yellow striped costume, toting a machine gun. But the bees, far less sinister than portrayed in popular culture, are called “killer” for a reason and no one really wants them in their neighborhood.

Canada may soon get an influx of the invaders — and their mode of transportation could be trucks, said Dr. Medhat Nasr a bee expert at the University of Guelph in Ontario.
