Bush Names Former ATA’s Jackson To Be Deputy DOT Secretary
Jackson will serve under Secretary Norman Mineta, the only Democrat in the Bush Cabinet and the former commerce secretary under President Clinton.
A White House announcement noted that Jackson is currently vice president and general manager for business development at Lockheed Martin IMS, Transportation Systems and Services.
Before that, he was at ATA as senior vice president and counselor to the president under Thomas J. Donohue, who is now president of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
