Burruss Resigns as TCA President
His departure was confirmed by trade association spokesman Michael Nellenbach, who said no further details about Burruss’ departure were available.
“A search committee for a new president has been formed to find a replacement,” Nellenbach told Transport Topics.
In the interim, Executive Vice President Bill Giroux and Vice President Debbie Sparks will be in charge of the Alexandria, Virginia-based trade association, Nellenbach said.
A Missouri native, Burruss had been president of the group for more than 10 years. He succeeded Robert Hirsch, who was dismissed from the post in 2003.
