ATA President Meets With Bush, Pledges Tax Cut Support
McCormick voiced the trucking industry’s strong support in a letter he gave the president.
The ATA executive told the president that his tax plan “would translate into more job security as well as more money in the pockets of the nearly 9.7 million men and women who work in trucking-related jobs and are dedicated to moving this nation’s freight.”
Among those in Friday’s meeting were Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill, and , Lawrence Lindsey, who is President Bush's economic adviser. Transport Topics
