ArvinMeritor, Canadian Auto Union Ratify Ontario Plant Deal
ruck components maker ArvinMeritor Inc. said it has ratified a contract with the Canadian Auto Workers at its commercial vehicle systems brake facility in Tilbury, Ontario, Canada.
Earlier this month, the company had reached a tentative agreement with workers after locking them out briefly in absence of a new contract. (Click here for previous coverage.)ArvinMeritor said in a statement Monday that is has “been working diligently over the last several weeks to approach full production speed at all our brake facilities. . . . We are con-fident we will be up and running at normal levels shortly.”
