ABF Freight Systemsaid it has expanded its ocean transport coverage to several countries in South America.
The company’s global supply chain services division said it now provides full-container-load and less-than-container-load ocean transport to and from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Uruguay.
“ABF Global now covers nearly 90% of the total ocean international market to and from the United States. Our goal is to reach 96% of the total import-export market, which we anticipate achieving before the end of 2013,” saidCarlos Martinez-Tomatis, the division's vice president.
ABF is a subsidiary of Arkansas Best Corp., which is ranked No. 13 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
